Depreciation period

All products are depreciated on a straight-line basis over a fixed period of 5 years (60 months). This is based on the expectation that the equipment will have an economic and technical life of five years, and ensures that the investment cost is distributed evenly over the entire period before residual value.

Calculation of operating costs

Operating costs are assumed to amount to a single total sum per product over the entire five-year period. In the spreadsheet, this is set at NOK 4,500 and covers service, maintenance, spare parts and routine inspections to ensure that the equipment is ready for rental throughout the period.

Financing costs

Financing is expected to be provided through an annuity loan with a 12 % annual nominal interest rate, repaid over the same 5-year period. Total capital costs are calculated so that both interest and instalments are included in the calculation. IKANO BANK offers full financing for all our products. Interest and instalments are calculated based on individual financing needs.
